Global Medics is partnering with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District to recruit a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist/Consultant Psychiatrist - Child, Adolescent, and Youth Mental Health Services (CAYMHS). The role is based in the Illawarra Shoalhaven region, a stunning area stretching from the sea cliffs of the Illawarra Escarpment to the white sands of Jarvis Bay. Just south of Sydney, enjoy beautiful beaches, lush national parks, and welcoming communities. CAYMHS provide specialist support across the district, mainly delivered through community service from sites based in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Nowra. The key responsibilities for the role: * Provide an accountable and high standard service consistent with the defined scope of clinical practice for ISLHD and all NSW Health Policies and as required by other senior medical staff and the facility. * Be dedicated to a teamwork philosophy and be able to demonstrate ability to work as a team member within the Department and the broader multidisciplinary team. * Ensure detailed patient treatment plans are in place to support the timely management of patients and effective clinical handover processes in accordance with facility and ISLHD guidelines. * Ensure a high standard of clinical record documentation is maintained, including the completion of all clinical records (including medication charts and other orders) to reflect clinical decisions and optimise data collection. Essential Selection Criteria: * Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom. * Other Countries - Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent * Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health * Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team The benefits: * Competitive salary * Work/ Life Balance * Visa support * Relocation package - up to $10,000 AUD If you are interested in this role and wish to discuss it further, please apply below or email your CV to Agnieszka.Olbrys@globalmedics.com.au
