Details: The ACT Integrity Commission (the Commission) is an independent integrity agency with powers under the Integrity Commission Act 2018 (the IC Act) to investigate, expose and prevent corruption and foster public confidence in the integrity of government.

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and capable individual to perform the role of Senior Policy Officer, Lobbying Inquiry.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to complex and high‐priority legislative reform work in the ACT.

The Senior Policy Officer will work closely with the CEO, the Senior Director Corporate, Prevention and Communication, and colleagues across the Commission to develop a final report to be provided to the Speaker for tabling in the Legislative Assembly.

The role will involve drafting high‐quality policy advice and briefings, supporting the delivery of a report with high-level analysis and recommendations, contributing to educational materials intended for ACT Government employees, and engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will bring strong analytical and communication skills, demonstrate sound judgement, and be able to manage competing priorities while delivering high‐quality outcomes.

Experience in justice, social policy, lobbying regulation, law reform or project delivery is desirable but not essential.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

* Proven experience in undertaking policy related research and analysis functions, including the preparation of discussion papers and/or submissions on legislative or regulatory reform
* Demonstrated research and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Well-developed organisational skills and an ability to effectively meet tight deadlines and the demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Demonstrated personal drive and integrity
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record developing productive working relationships
* Demonstrated achievement in working collaboratively with stakeholders
* Experience in the delivery of policy projects or functions.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately up until December 2026, with the possibility of extension up to six months. Part-time hours will be considered, and the salary noted above will be paid pro-rata.

This position requires the occupant to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1). Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
