About the Role:As their Company Accountant, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management for their business.
This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of their company.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.Payroll Management: Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages, including superannuation and tax obligations.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.BAS Preparation & Lodgement: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time.Invoicing & Billing: Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of customer billing.Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing financial processes and systems.Liaison: Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other relevant stakeholders.Ad-hoc Duties: Perform other related duties as required.About You:Proven experience as a Company Accountant or similar role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Solid experience with payroll processing and related legislation.Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and lodging BAS.Experience with accounting software.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in the solar industry or related field is a plus.A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (CA/CPA preferred).
