Job Description
We are seeking experienced maintenance professionals to join our team as Leading Hand Fitters. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a crew of maintenance technicians, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
The successful candidate will have a trade qualification in plant mechanics (heavy vehicle mobile equipment) and at least 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will also need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor the maintenance crew
* Assist crews to meet daily safety, equipment reliability, and maintenance compliance targets
* Disassemble, inspect, and assemble large-scale mobile mining equipment components
* Source technical information from relevant manuals and computer-based systems
* Maintain the workshop area to a high standard of housekeeping and organisation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualified plant mechanic (heavy vehicle mobile equipment)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Valid WA driver's license
* Sound experience in component rebuilds and machine overhauls
* Must be well organised, methodical, and have an eye for detail
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, safe work practices, and risk awareness
