Position
Staff Specialist – General Medicine (Fixed Term contract until June 2027). Salary Classification: Staff Specialist Level 1 in accordance with the Staff Specialist Private Practice Remuneration Levels.

Role Overview
The Staff Specialist will perform clinical services for inpatients admitted under the general medicine service and participate in the bed allocation process and management of transfer of care and patient flow according to patient need and the Hospital's requirements. You will provide specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services, participate in after‐hours services and rosters in general medicine at CMN, and provide clinical leadership to junior colleagues by ensuring a high standard of patient care which conforms to best practice and is evidence based. You will demonstrate a commitment to equity of health care delivery.
Qualifications
* Hold AHRPA registration and an unrestricted Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
* This role is not suitable for overseas trained physicians requiring supervision.
* Have unlimited working rights in Australia.
* Successfully complete pre‐employment checks including reference checks, work rights, criminal history check and WWCC checks to ensure suitability for the role.
* Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role.
