Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government customers and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services. The team leads banking relationship management and the provision of transaction banking, risk management, and capital solutions to our customers. The team’s purpose is to provide IB&M customers with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives.Your Impact & Contribution:You are a property professional with a valuation, development management, or quantity surveying background seeking to deploy these skills in a dynamic finance construct team. Together we can deliver solutions that positively impact our customers.Your Responsibilities:Valuation & Advisory:Review and evaluate both Bank and customer instructed property valuations for new transactions and, on a selected basis, interim valuations for existing transactions. Provide property consultancy advice to frontline bankers and credit officers on the suitability of valuations and other consultants' reports for deal origination, transactions, and ongoing reliance. Review and provide commentary on externally prepared project-specific reports.Project Oversight:Analyse and model project cash flows for the evaluation and monitoring of project costs to completion of property development projects. Instruct and coordinate external independent consultants on behalf of the Bank in relation to initial project due diligence and ongoing monitoring/certification. Represent the Bank at Project Control Group meetings and liaise with builders and consultants to maintain an overview of the status and progress of construction projects.Stakeholder Engagement:Provide frontline banker support on property finance opportunities including bespoke requests, client and consultant meetings, and ongoing transactional support. Develop and sustain effective business relationships with industry contacts to ensure currency of market knowledge across all property sectors. Advise IB&M of industry trends and legislative changes as they affect the relevant markets. Ensure effective working relationships are created/maintained with all customers.Team & Culture:Actively contribute to action planning to ensure effective team culture. Adhere to the Code of Conduct, which sets the standards of behaviour, actions, and decisions we expect from our people.System Enhancement: Propose system enhancements to improve data quality, automate reporting, determine the information flows required across teams.Your Skills & Experience:Certified Property Valuer as regulated by the Australian Property InstituteMinimum 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in valuation, quantity surveying, or development management.
