Job Title: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:

The Department of Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate professional to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing high-level clinical care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement specialized treatment programs.
* Conducting assessments, therapies, and case management to optimize service effectiveness and efficiency.
* Participating in supervision, peer support, and ongoing professional learning opportunities.
* Collaborating with care teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for clients.

Essential Criteria:

* Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
* Current Working with Children Registration.

Desirable Criteria:

* Holds, or is working towards, postgraduate in mental health qualifications.
* Current Driver's Licence.
