As a Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a culture of safety within the organization.
Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and protocols across all operational areas. This includes creating and maintaining safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Additional key responsibilities include conducting regular inspections and risk assessments of facilities, equipment, and job sites, as well as assisting with accident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
* Develop and maintain safety training and onboarding programs for employees and management.
* Monitor and report on key safety metrics, trends, and KPIs.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or audits.
* Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
* Maintain and manage safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in Logistics. Strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations is required, along with proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are also essential. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/510) are a plus.
