In addition, this position is entitled to a separate Head of Department Allowance.
This is to fill one Fixed Term - Full-Time appointment for 5 years with the possibility of extensions.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assume the role of Director of Medical Services – Bunbury Hospital. This position will lead and support medical clinical governance at Bunbury Hospital and participate in continuous quality improvement within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight and governance of the Bunbury Hospital medical workforce including input into rostering and credentialing.
- Provide support to the Regional Director Medical Services in implementing WACHS South West strategic directions and ensuring optimal WACHS South West regional health network performance.
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation, credentialing, deployment and performance of all Bunbury Hospital medical staff.
- Establishing and maintain team-oriented and functional relationships with contract clinical service providers to ensure seamless timely clinical care delivery.
- Assisting with educational needs of medical staff as per WACHS strategies, priorities and programs as required.
- Promoting and leading, in conjunction with the Bunbury Executive Team, the delivery of safe, high quality clinical care in keeping with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS) and Clinical Care Standards.
- Other duties as directed by the Director Bunbury Hospital or Regional Director Medical Services South West.

Ideal Candidates
- Unconditional general and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Considerable experience in a senior leadership and management role in the health sector, preferably in a hospital environment.
- Experience or formal qualifications in Management or Health administration are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with strengths in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Must have a current C oFr C‑A class driver’s licence and willingness and ability to travel as required for the role.
