We're on the lookout for a hands-on and proactive Full-Time Maintenance Manager to join our team at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley. You'll be responsible for keeping our beautiful estate running smoothly — from guest rooms and event spaces to our gardens and historic buildings — all while leading and developing a high-performing team.
Taste of your day-to-day
You'll play a key role in making sure our hotel is safe, compliant, energy-efficient, and beautifully maintained — all without disrupting the guest experience. Your typical day might involve:
- Leading, training, and developing a motivated and skilled maintenance team.
- Setting team goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering career development.
- Managing team rosters to ensure coverage during peak periods, weekends, and events.
- Overseeing daily maintenance across guest rooms, gardens, kitchens, event spaces, and more.
- Ensuring maintenance work (internal and external) meets safety and quality standards.
- Running preventative maintenance programs and emergency response procedures.
- Monitoring and optimising energy and water usage across the hotel.
- Inspecting facilities regularly and presenting updates to management.
What we need from you
- A degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience in a related field).
- At least 3 years' experience in hotel/resort engineering or maintenance leadership.
- Strong team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- A passion for maintaining high standards and delivering a seamless guest experience.
- Full Australian working rights.
