An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Maintenance Fitter at our site in Darwin. In this role you will be able to apply your technical expertise working in a team environment and autonomously on plant maintenance. Great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Providing leadership and commitment to safety, quality and the environment
* Accountable for carrying out mechanical repairs with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance
* Identification of plant critical spares
* Administrative tasks within themaintenance planning system
* Focus on continuous improvement ideas
What you will need to succeed
* Vehicle license and High Risk license including Fork lift, EWP
* Competent at basic oxy/acetylene gas, MIG/TIG welding repairs and fabrication
* Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
* Computer literacy, requiring experience using maintenance planning system, SAP preferred
* A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
* A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
* Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision
