Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of container logistics and intermodal operations, streamlining processes to reduce operational costs and improve service efficiency.
* Lead and manage the logistics team to ensure clear accountability, balanced workload distribution, and consistent performance monitoring.
* Streamline and enhance container forecasting, provisioning, and inventory management across all Australian ports to meet export demands.
* Manage container movement data, sales, repairs, and claims in accordance with directives.
* Ensure timely and compliant execution of container transport and processing of related invoices.
* Drive cost-control initiatives and manage container stock imbalances and idle assets across regions.
About This Role:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, international business, or supply chain/logistics are essential.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to adapt to internal systems for high-volume container data management are required.
* Strong problem-solving, planning, and strategic decision-making capabilities are necessary for optimising logistics operations.
* Proven experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision and managing competing priorities is vital.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are needed to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Extensive prior experience in container logistics, stock management, and high-volume equipment flows is preferred.
* Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience in logistics or supply chain operations is essential.
