Career Employment Australia Ltd are currently recruiting for a Vocational Trainer to educate students participating in the Indigenous Youth Mobility Pathways Project (IYMP) in Rockhampton. IYMP assists Indigenous youth yrs) from remote regions to relocate to Rockhampton to undertake vocational training, university study and Australian Apprenticeships. IYMP provides education, accommodation, life skills and mentoring support to participants engaged in the project.
The Vocational Trainer is responsible for:
* Teaching, tutoring and marking Certificate III in Community Services qualifications for students engaged in IYMP in a small class environment.
* Using culturally appropriate methods to oversee students educational progress.
* Sourcing and facilitating vocational placement opportunities for IYMP students.
* Liaising with residential and education staff regarding student progress
* Maintaining accurate and up to date information for each student, including attendance reports and documentation to meet RTO compliance.
* Consistently demonstrating a deep understanding and respect for the Indigenous culture.
Candidates Must hold:
* A minimum Certificate III in Community services
* Certificate IV in Training and assessment
Candidates must be able to attain a valid working with children card and national police clearance.
