About the role:
Victoria Police's Financial Services Department is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Branch Manager to lead and manage Victoria Police's Accounts Payable function.
Reporting to the Executive Director (Chief Finance Officer), the Branch Manager will be responsible for leading and managing Victoria Police's Accounts Payable function and a team of finance professionals.
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with extensive experience in managing Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions in a high-volume environment. This is an integral role in the delivery of day-to-day AP and purchase-to-pay operations, and the successful candidate will ideally have demonstrated experience in working within a fast-paced environment, proactively managing resources to meet service demand, managing stakeholder relationships, and proven ability in leading large teams.

Your duties will include:
1. Leading a large team of finance staff and managing team performance, ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day Accounts Payable and Purchasing operations
2. Ensuring Accounts Payable and Purchasing processes are consistent with policy, procedure and legislative requirements
3. Investigating and resolving complex enquiries
4. Managing relationships with internal clients, suppliers and other stakeholders
5. Setting and managing KPIs and workflow across AP teams
6. Identifying and managing the implementation of process improvements and business change to support effective and efficient Accounts Payable and Purchasing operations
As the successful applicant, you will have:
7. Strong leadership skills and experience in developing, leading and managing teams
8. Proven experience in successfully developing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
9. Relevant end-to-end accounts payable and purchasing experience (Purchase to Pay/P2P).
10. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience in the preparation of reports and briefings for senior stakeholders
12. Experience in Oracle and KOFAX AP Essentials desirable
Requirements and relevant information:
13. One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
14. This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
