As the project progresses through key planning and approvals stages, we are seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Advisor to play a pivotal role in securing environmental and regulatory approvals and supporting the successful development of the KGP.

The Opportunity

* Manage external consultants and contractors to deliver environmental surveys, studies, assessments, and reports on time and within budget.
* Review and finalise consultant submissions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Apply in-depth knowledge of EPA/DWER, DMPE, DBCA, DPLH, and DCCEEW processes to secure approvals for the planning, construction, operation, and closure of the KGP.
* Prepare clear and concise documentation and presentations to support stakeholder and regulatory engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

* Represent Ausgold in Katanning through attendance at the local "Shopfront" and maintain regular engagement with government agencies and community stakeholders.
* Foster positive and productive relationships with community members, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
* Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions using MS Excel or Simply Stakeholders platforms.

Safety & Compliance

* Promote and maintain a safety-first culture in line with Ausgold's Safety Management Systems.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, standards, and environmental obligations.
* Identify and communicate risks that may impact project delivery, budgets, or timelines.

About You

* Proven experience managing consultants, project schedules, and budgets.
* Excellent stakeholder and government engagement skills.
* High-level written and verbal communication abilities.
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.

* Experience with stakeholder engagement platforms such as Simply Stakeholders.
* Strong organisational and IT skills, particularly within the Microsoft Office Suite.
* A professional, adaptable, and public-facing temperament.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the company's reputation.

Why Join Ausgold?

* Play a key role in the development of a significant Western Australian gold project.
* Be part of a collaborative and values-driven team committed to responsible mining.
* Influence project outcomes from approvals through to operations.
* Enjoy a Perth-based position with meaningful community engagement in Katanning.
* Competitive remuneration package aligned with experience.

Working Relationships

You will collaborate closely with:
