Your impact
The world needs innovators and problem solvers who turn challenges into greater opportunities. We have an insatiable curiosity about solutions to move people and goods safely and efficiently across the globe. Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Roads and Highways team based in Tasmania. You will work across various transport projects within Roads and Highways across Victoria and Tasmania.
This role is a recognised technical specialist in the application of advanced theory and concepts of civil design. In this role, you will take advantage of new developments and improvements in technology to build capability and manage all aspects of the engineering design and drawing deliverable for your allocated responsibility. You will adopt BIM workflows and practices to work collaboratively with other disciplines, taking responsibility for developing design deliverables to agreed quality, time and budget, working independently or leading a design team on larger projects. You will work closely with project managers, design managers, project information managers and BIM coordinators, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding digital delivery.
You will inspire and develop teams to become proficient in the standards and digital requirements for delivering projects for the Tasmania and Victoria roads and highways business.
We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
