About the role
As a Maintenance Fitter & Turner at AB Group Pty Ltd in Geelong, VIC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of industrial machinery and equipment. What you'll be doing
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement appropriate repair solutions
* Carry out fabrication, modification, and installation tasks as required
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
* Collaborate with other technical and operational teams to ensure efficient and effective equipment performance
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
What we're looking for
* Formal trade qualifications as a Fitter & Turner or Maintenance Mechanic
* Fitter & Turner trade qualification specifically required for this position
* Extensive experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Minimum of 4-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
