Join a large, national accounting firm who have expanded into the Sunshine Coast market. Headquartered in Sydney, and with several offices across the east coast of Australia, the firm has recently acquired a practice on the Sunshine Coast. As part of the expansion plans for this acquisition, the firm are seeking a highly experienced Senior OR Intermediate Accountant to join the team, service existing clients, and grow the client base.
THE ROLE:
You will take responsibility the business services and tax responsibilities for a broad range of clients, ranging in industry type.
Your role will include (but not be limited to):
* Engage with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging in industry type & turnover ($5- $50 million in turnover)
* Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for all entity types (excluding SMSF)
* A heavy focus on advisory services
* Div 7A, CGT & FBT Calculations
* Management of your own client portfolio & ability to bring clients in/grow your portfolio
* Liaison with the ATO
* Maintenance and preparation of clients financial records
* Maintain and nurture client relationships and utilise rapport-building skills

ABOUT YOU:
You will be an experienced accountant with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in another Australian accounting firm, and will have exceptional communication skills as this firm is very relationship focused with their client base.
* Ability to build relationships with clients and peers via e-mail, phone and face-to-face meetings
* Ability to work autonomously & both part of a team
* CA/CPA qualified or in progress
* Strong work ethic & will to progress in a growing firm
* Experience using XERO & XPM (desired)
