Arthurs Creek Primary School is a small school in Arthurs Creek within the Nillumbik Shire.
In **** the school expects an enrolment of 24 students and will be organised into two grades.
The school has both full time and part time teachers and qualified Education Support Staff to support student learning.
Small class sizes are a priority to support learning.
Specialist areas include AUSLAN, PE, Music, Art and STEM.
Our students come from surrounding areas and bring a diverse range of learning needs.
Many students require additional support to engage, achieve and work with peers.
Students that require additional support are supported with an individual education programme.

Selection Criteria
Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate teaching of literacy and numeracy skills; experience responding to student learning needs.
Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn and evaluating their impact on student growth.
Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback to students and parents.
Interpersonal and communication skills; experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community.
Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values; experience reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning to improve teaching quality.
Role
The classroom teacher classification has two salary ranges – range 1 and range 2.
The primary focus is on planning, preparing and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
Teachers may also undertake additional duties appropriate to their salary range, qualifications, training and experience.
Classroom Teacher Range 2
Range 2 teachers assist the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes, contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities, and mentor other teachers.
They are expected to:
Have content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet diverse needs.
Model exemplary classroom practice and coach other teachers.
Provide expert advice on content, processes and strategies.
Supervise and train one or more student teachers.
Help staff use student data to inform teaching approaches.
Classroom Teacher Range 1
Range 1 teachers further develop skills to become effective practitioners, with structured support and guidance.
Responsibilities include classroom management, subject content, teaching practice and participating in policy development and project teams.
Responsibilities
Direct teaching of student groups and individuals.
Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas.
Undertake classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the Principal.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.

Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach the specified curriculum area(s).

Qualification Requirements
Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
If completed an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program on or after 1 January ****, demonstrate completion of a postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program approved by an Australian State or Territory Teacher Regulatory Authority.
If graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July ****, demonstrate that LANTITE requirements (if part of the program) are satisfied.
