We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our food manufacturing / food production facility.
This role suits someone confident working in high-volume production, with strong food safety knowledge and consistency-driven execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook food according to approved recipes and specifications
* Work across hot and cold production areas
* Follow HACCP, CCPs, food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures
* Maintain consistent product quality and portion control
* Assist with production planning and daily output targets
* Monitor temperatures, cooking times, and documentation
* Ensure correct FIFO, labelling, and storage practices
* Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready workspace
* Support kitchen hands and apprentices when required
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Cook in food manufacturing or high-volume commercial kitchens
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
* Experience working with production schedules and batch cooking
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Attention to detail and consistency
* Team-focused with good communication skills
Requirements
* Trade qualification (Commercial Cookery) preferred
* Ability to understand and speak basic English
* Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
* No sponsorship available
* Students and Working Holiday Visa holders will not be considered
* Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
