About Chemtrans
Chemtrans is a division of K&S Freighters and is a well‐respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised allocator/scheduler to co‐ordinate day‐to‐day transport operations within our dangerous goods division.
This is a fast‐paced role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure business needs are delivered and the customer needs are always met to a high standard.
Responsibilities
* Complete and monitor all documentation in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with legal requirements and customer expectations.
* Generate all paperwork required for daily deliveries, including con notes and delivery dockets.
* Monitor rosters and scheduling to meet compliance with driver fatigue laws.
* Monitor onsite equipment maintenance and service requirements.
* Allocate resources and operations in the safest, most efficient and cost‐effective manner.
* Report any delays to customers due to breakdowns, weather/traffic conditions, emergencies or irregularities to ensure requirements are met.
* Data entry of driver's hours to support BFM accreditation.
* PPE issuing, monitoring and auditing.
* Document and investigate incidents as per K&S standards.
* Comply with all transport regulations and laws.
* Assist with vehicle servicing and inspections, documenting all actions and recording on file.
* Join team roster and work some weekends; flexibility required.
* Pre‐employment medical and police check will be required.
Qualifications
* Transport allocation experience (training available).
* Transport & logistics operations experience.
* Proven customer service delivery and excellent communication & leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem solve when issues arise.
* Proactive, solutions‐focused mindset.
* Knowledge of compliance and legislative requirements regarding NHVR, fatigue management and dangerous goods (highly desirable but not required).
* Exceptional organisational skills, eye for detail, accuracy and passion for efficiency.
