Taking a hands-on approach, this Lead Tax Analyst's position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies' financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale.The ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);Deep understanding of tax principles and regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Management of the tax filing calendar independently and influences where possible.
Conveys critical impacts to leadership and departments outside of finance.
Ability to provide tax advice or review third party tax advice and provide thoughtful input.
Provides thought leadership by staying abreast of regulatory changes, and ensuring adherence to evolving regulations.
Preparation of FBT, GST/BAS returns for the ANZ entities Assist with Payroll tax as required, including review of various Annual Payroll Tax reconciliations and SG obligation.
Assist the Tax Manager with a review of Superannuation guarantee as required.
Analyse and advise on GST treatment for products Assist the tax manager with indirect taxes advice relating to acquisitions & divestment Proactively seeks opportunities for process improvement Lead or support projects identified as supporting strategic objectives for the finance team or broader business.
Build and maintains a relationship with key stakeholders - understands their needs and expectations and also how and when to best engage with them.
The successful applicant will haveThe Successful Candidate Will Have The Following CriteriaCA or CPA qualified Strong commercial tax background or Big4 trained Strong interpersonal & communication skills Experience with both direct & indirect tax.
