Assistant Finance Analyst
Looking to kick-start your career in finance? This is a great opportunity to join our Group Finance team, supporting month-end processes, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting across Enabling Functions and the Group Expenses portfolio.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is analytical, detail-oriented and keen to build a strong foundation in financial analysis and accounting. You'll be supported by experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to core financial operations within a large, complex financial services organisation.
What you'll do
* Support delivery of month-end finance processes accurately and on time
* Investigate and resolve data variances and reconciliations
* Prepare and process accounting journals
* Assist with management reporting and performance insights
* Support forecasting and budgeting activities
* Maintain and update financial systems and databases
* Collaborate with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business
* Build strong relationships to understand business drivers and trends
What you'll bring
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
* Up to 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance-related role (or relevant graduate experience)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Confidence working with data and financial information
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
* Exposure to finance systems such as Oracle, TM1/Cognos or Power BI (desirable)
* Interest in building a career within financial services
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
