We are urgently seeking a Roads and Maintenance Field Worker to work with the roads and maintenance crew for local government, initially as casual assignment for 12 weeks. Casual role paying $43.08 per/hour, working Monday to Friday 6:15am – 3:15pm at Rosewood Depot.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Working within Roads and Maintenance Team
* Undertake maintenance and minor works, may include concrete works and other manual labouring tasks
* Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained to manufacturers and council standards
* Comply with relevant legislation and local government policies and procedure
Qualifications
* Current Construction Industry White Card
* Current C class license a minimum with MR/HR licence desireable
* Appropriate hi-vis workwear attire
* Willing to be Fit Tested
* Pre- employment medical including drug and alcohol
* Pre-employment criminal history check
General labouring as part of roads and maintenance crew, may include safe MR truck operation in compliance with rules and regulations (if licenced) and ensuring adherence to safe work procedures (including correct use, maintenance and storage of personal protective equipment). You will need to be Fit tested for P2 respirator for Silica dust PPE purposes working near 'concrete dust'.
