Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the team and managing all planned, breakdown and repair maintenance activities at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint venture. This role involves providing strong leadership, aligned with Peabody's mission, values and strategy.
About the Role:
This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and contributes to the successful performance of the mine. The ideal candidate will have a Trade or Tertiary Qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership capability in a similar role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide practical input into the content of all short and long term maintenance plans for mobile and field equipment
2. Lead and motivate a dynamic team culture contributing to the successful performance of the mine
3. Execute all preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and shutdown work, minor projects, and reliability improvement initiatives
4. Reduce equipment downtime by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned, manned and carried out to a high standard, in a safe and timely manner.
5. Promote a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including cost saving initiatives
6. Communicate issues that impact the planned work and extend equipment downtimes
7. Develop systems so that all maintenance personnel and contractors are effectively managed to ensure site requirements are maintained and planned scope of work/work instructions are used to maximize safe productivity.
The Lifestyle:
This position offers a 7/7 roster and can allow for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.
About You:
* Hold a Trade or Tertiary Qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* Minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership capability in a similar role
* Experience in applying best practice maintenance techniques to optimise equipment availability
* Experience with Hitachi & CAT Excavators, Reich, CAT & Epiroc drills, dozers, T282, EH4000 & 789 haul trucks, ancillary equipment
* Valid Driver's license
* Experience in SAP maintenance applications will be highly regarded
