About the Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Business Services leads the effective delivery of support functions for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) that enable the ODPP to fulfil its prosecutorial functions and is responsible for employees in administrative‐related functions. The role oversees financial management, resource allocation, recruitment, onboarding, and wellbeing matters, working closely with the ODPP HR Officer and Wellbeing Officer. As the primary interface between legal and non‐legal functions and the key point of contact for all staff on HR‐related queries, the role provides regular updates to the Executive and implements practices that foster an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.
About the Business
The ODPP is an office of approximately 200 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
Employment Conditions
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD. Some out of hours work may be required.
