We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Financial Support Specialist to join our team in supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and families. This role plays a vital part in providing financial assistance and education to ensure effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide credit and debt advice to consumers, empowering them with knowledge to make informed decisions.
* Assist consumers in gaining essential skills and knowledge to manage their financial affairs effectively.
* Help alleviate the impact of credit over-commitment on individuals and families in NSW by offering tailored support.
* Advocate for public education on personal finance management to promote healthy financial habits.
Requirements
* Acknowledgment from the Financial Counselling Association of NSW (FCAN)
* A valid NSW Driver's license
* A National Criminal History Records check

* An understanding of environmental factors affecting financial independence
* An appreciation of culturally sensitive approaches when working with Aboriginal communities
