About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently seeking applications from a motivated and qualified Registered Nurse/Midwife to join the team.
Based at Hyde Park, this is a permanent, full-time position where you will work across a range of areas including Birth Suites, Postnatal, Antenatal and Special Care Nursery.
Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 (Registered Nurse Level 1) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
Key responsibilities and duties include:
1. Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
2. Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
3. Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
4. Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
5. Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
6. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (no restrictions)
7. Minimum of 12 months’ experience full-time equivalent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally
9. Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
10. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
11. Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all times
