Join NWHHS as our Midwife Educator and help shape the future of midwifery practice across the region. This Fixed Term Temporary, part‐time role provides the opportunity to lead evidence‐based education, support workforce growth, and contribute to a safe, positive, and professional care environment.
About The Role
You will play a key role in building an evidence‐based learning culture across the North West Hospital and Health Service. You'll design, deliver and evaluate education programs, support midwives and nurses in professional growth, and strengthen clinical practice through leadership and mentorship. Working within the Professional Practice Support Unit, you'll contribute to innovative learning, positive patient outcomes, and strong clinical governance.
* Lead the planning, development and evaluation of evidence‐based clinical education for midwives and nurses.
* Provide advanced leadership, mentorship and professional support to build capability across the workforce.
* Drive a positive learning culture by contributing to quality activities, research, and continuous practice improvement.
Working with us
* For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,605. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,815... and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,210 (pro rata for part time employees).
In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (full time employees) (inc. spouse/dependents) or 1 return airfare p.a. (part time employees) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
* Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.
Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
We also offer staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.

Requirements
* Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
