YEM Technology is offering an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our team at the Sino Iron Project, located at Cape Preston, 100 km southwest of Karratha in Western Australia.
This is a FIFO role from Perth, working on an 8:6 roster.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the Power Plant at the Sino Iron Project. You will work within the Instrumentation & Control Engineering team and contribute to the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Power Station's equipment and systems.
Your responsibilities will mainly include:
* As an Instrumentation & Control Engineer you will have responsibility for all Instrumentation & Control projects, planned maintenance and shutdown works on fixed plant equipment, including general electrical maintenance activities and statutory inspections and testing.
* Manage Instrumentation & Control projects, such as prepare SOW, evaluate the tender, inspect project site, prepare project progress report, etc.
* Manage and monitor the operation and maintenance of all Instrumentation & Control equipment, including recommending modifications and improvements.
* Manage routine inspections, testing, modifications and preventative maintenance tasks to keep the Power Station running smoothly.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and manage corrective maintenance as required. This may include being part of an after-hours roster.
* Prepare or contribute to plans and reports as directed by the Instrumentation & Control Superintendent or as normally required by the position.
* Ensure all work is performed safely. Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines, including the use of protective equipment. Follow all industry safety regulations and site-specific requirements. Conduct through risk assessments before commencing any task and follow company procedures.
* All licences and assigned site training requirements are kept up to date. Possess a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently, unsupervised and complete tasks reliably and of a high standard.
* Work effectively with other team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and on time. Treat colleagues and others with respect.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and safety compliance as required by company and regulatory standards.
* Prepare, plan and schedule all maintenance work in your area of responsibility.
* Drive and promote safety awareness and safe work practices and compliance with the safety management plans.
* Drive and promote environmentally responsible work practices and ensure environmental issues are addressed promptly.
What We're Looking For

Skills & Knowledge
* Project management skills.
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Be able to interpret drawings, identify equipment parts and their function.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ensure accuracy and functionality of assembled components.
* A good understanding of the electricity Act and Regulations, Standards and
* Australian electrical principals and statutory requirements.
* Experience in the use instrumentation calibration equipment.
* Be proficient in understanding, speaking and writing English.
* Have good written, verbal and inter-personal skills.
* Have a sound awareness of Health and Safety protocols.
* Ability to work under pressure and cope with time restraints.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings effectively
* Ability to read, understand and markup PID's, schematic and single line diagrams
* Strong communication, safety, and leadership skills.
Experience
* Experience in project management
* 5 years' experience working as an Instrumentation & Control Engineer.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Australian-recognised Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree
* Current CPR and First Aid certificate
* OHS Construction Safety Induction 'White Card'.
* Current "C" Class WA Drivers Licence
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screens
* Australian work rights
