Central Industries are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in the field of Shade Sails and Structures to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis, based in Brisbane, QLD. You will play a pivotal role driving new business growth and strengthening existing client relationships
Duties & responsibilities:
* Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities in the Shade Sails and Structures market
* Develop and execute effective sales strategies to secure new clients and projects
* Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure
* Meet with clients on-site to assess their needs and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key industry decision-makers
* Draw up tender submissions and proposals for projects
* Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, forecasting, and performance metrics
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's overall sales and marketing plans
* Be prepared to be hands on and involved in all aspects of the process, and grow our footprint within the QLD market
* Lead and manage a team of people as growth allows further employment opportunities in QLD
Experience & attributes:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in new business development, preferably within similar field such as shade sails, structural landscaping or civil construction
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
* Ability to prepare and submit high quality proposals and tender submissions with minimal oversight
* Strong track record of success in sales of structures and/or open space products is highly advantageous
* Keen negotiation skills with a persuasive and influential approach
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the NSW construction market
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets
* Practical knowledge of various civil and landscape structures
* Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to building long-term partnerships
* Current driver's license
* Full Australian working rights and current residence within the greater Brisbane region
