The Parks, Planning and Capital Works team is seeking a motivated professional to oversee and deliver medium to large scale ecological restoration projects/programs. The role involves working collaboratively with the Parks and Conservation Service, Office of the Conservator of Flora and Fauna, Office of Nature Conservation, ACT Natural Resource Management, Suburban Land Agency, Private Developers, Traditional Owners and various other stakeholders to develop and implement restoration plans on Parks and Conservation Service estate. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Mandatory: Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, environmental science, natural resource management, or related disciplines; Willingness and ability to conduct fieldwork activities including occasionally in uncomfortable weather conditions; ACT Drivers licence and ability to operate a 4WD vehicle with a willingness to attend 4WD training including for recovery operations. Highly Desirable: Ability to identify plants of the ACT and region and knowledge of local vegetation communities and ecological values; Experience using computer applications appropriate to the work area including Microsoft Office suite and ArcGIS; A current First Aid Certificate. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2028 with the possibility of permanency.
