Role: Director, IT Strategy & Architecture
The IMTS Branch plays a pivotal role in contributing to ACCC/AER outcomes. The Director, IT Strategy & Architecture reports to the Executive Director of Technology Delivery and works in strong collaboration with the IMTS Directors. The role has a strategic and delivery focus on all aspects of the department's IT environment, including Microsoft cloud technologies and on‐premise systems.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of professionals, role‐modeling leadership behaviours, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolving conflict, and facilitating career development.
* Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled professionals to develop and sustain ACCC's architecture and infrastructure ecosystem.
* Define current state, transition states and target state solution architectures for projects and current business problems that align with organisational strategies.
* Provide design leadership through: understanding business, data, application and technology domains; designing for reuse; ensuring the resulting design is implementable and within risk parameters; ensuring security compliance; preparing design options; guiding the uplift of the current environment; providing overall technical leadership to project teams; actively engaging with project teams to ensure compliance with architecture.
Qualifications
* Extensive technology leadership experience, at least 5 years designing, building, deploying enterprise solutions in complex cloud and on‐premise environments.
* Experience leading high‐performing teams, inspiring and motivating others through effective interpersonal relationships.
* Successful delivery of significant organisational change that required initiative and the ability to deal with uncertainty.
* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud solutions, familiarity in Azure and other Microsoft cloud offerings.
* Clear, concise and articulate oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
* High level of initiative and problem‐solving skills; resilience; self‐awareness and commitment to personal development.
* Relevant industry certifications.
Desirable
* Experience in highly regulated sectors and Government environments.
Security Clearance
This role requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
Benefits
Salary: $148,287 – $173,778 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
Fully remote option from any capital city, state or territory, or Townsville. Available on a full‐time, part‐time or job‐share basis.
