AFL NSW/ACT is responsible for the governance, administration, development and marketing of Australian Football across the region. Focusing on the growth and participation of the sport throughout NSW and the ACT.

About the Role
Reporting to the Development Coordinator, the Game Development Trainee will provide key support to two important AFL departments. In Participation, the role will plan and deliver growth outcomes across all key strategic areas, focusing on developing the game of Australian Rules through implementation and execution of programs to increase participation. In Community Football, the Trainee will provide administrative support to enhance the smooth running of all operations.
What You'll Do
Deliver and lead a range of AFL programs in schools and community venues.
Mentor and support new casual staff during onboarding.
Communicate key messages with participants, parents and schools.
Liaise with teachers, schools and stakeholders to identify and create new opportunities.
Support junior club Auskick centres with recruitment, volunteers, coaching and promotion.
Provide administrative support for community football competitions, club development and local football events.

An interest in community football and a readiness to learn are essential. You may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends. Applicants should clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this Traineeship in their application.
