Reputable Industrial Goods Organisation
About the Company and Role
We are currently partnering with a leading industrial goods organization with a solid national footprint. Currently going through a significant finance transformation program to modernise systems, processes, and reporting capability, they are seeking a hands‐on Finance Transformation Lead to join on an initial 6‐month contract. This is a high‐impact role where you will take ownership of the accounting design and execution across the transformation, working alongside finance, IT, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design of the Record‐to‐Report (R2R) process, including close, consolidation, and reporting
* Define and rationalise the chart of accounts, data structures, and finance architecture
* Ensure alignment between accounting requirements, systems, and business processes
* Oversee financial controls, audit readiness, and compliance within the recent operating model
* Act as the primary accounting decision‐maker across the transformation
* Partner closely with the Project Manager and key workstreams including data, systems, and operations
About You
* You are a hands‐on finance leader with extensive experience in technical accounting / controllership (ideally Big 4 trained Senior Manager/Director or Financial Controllers from industry)
* Comfortable being hands‐on (not a pure managerial position)
* Proven experience delivering finance transformation programs across: financial close and consolidation, controls and audit engagement, ERP / finance systems and process integration
* Experience operating in complex environments (multi‐entity, legacy systems, carve‐outs, or imperfect data environments)
* Experience within project finance, infrastructure, or asset‐heavy environments
* Previous role as a Finance Design Lead or R2R Lead within a transformation
* Ability to effectively bridge accounting, systems, and business stakeholders
* Comfortable with significant visibility and influence across a business‐critical transformation
