Head Office: 19-21 Belmore Terrace, Woodville, South Australia, SA 5011 The Role Job Responsibilities: refer to “HomePlace Position Description” Skilled and experienced requirements: To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your ability to meet the selection criteria outlined below: • Achieve the purpose of the position through providing support to people who are assisted by HomePlace, ensuring our participants are assisted to create opportunities for improvements in their quality of life as well as to be safe and well cared for. • Manage your time between the support needs of participants, including their social and lifestyle needs, household organisation and housekeeping tasks, and communication responsibilities to the participant, their family and other members of the team. • Have experience working with people with intellectual disability/cognitive impairment and their support networks. • Having the Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Aged care or similar • Have demonstrated experience in providing person-centred active support • Have a sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. • Have high level of both verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and skills. • Have strong writing and problem solving skills • Have proven experience in record keeping, including for multiple participants with complex needs, including an ability to maintain confidential information. • Have knowledge and commitment to NDIS Code of Conduct, Practice Standards and Quality Indicators • Have demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Have a current unrestricted South Australia driver’s license. • Have a aurrent Emergency First Aid Certificate (Basic Emergency Life Support/senior first aid certificate) • Have a current NDIS screening clearance. • Have an up to date COVID vaccination status • Strong commitment to HomePlace values
