Overview
Reporting to the site Production Manager, as a Shift Supervisor, you will lead the on-site production team with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You will lead by example, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met. Your expertise in industrial processing and demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment will guide your team towards success while driving continuous improvement initiatives. During the maintenance season (non-crush), you will help coordinate and supervise safe and efficient maintenance of the plant including delivery of improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the on-site production team with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, productivity, and manufacturing standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance during the non-crush season.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years knowledge and understanding of industrial processing
* Must Hold Full Working Rights for Australia
* Experience in and knowledge of environmental management systems and processes
* Knowledge and end experience in the operation of a manufacturing processes
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a Production and / or Manufacturing environment
* Ability to work in a team, develop employees and identify improvement opportunities
* Problem solving, proactive and energetic approach
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Applied Science or Sugar Technology (desirable); trade qualifications will be considered
