FRONT OFFICE MANAGER – qualia, Hamilton Island
We are searching for a people-first, service-driven Front Office Manager to join the leadership team at qualia, Hamilton Island's world-renowned luxury resort. Where you'll make an impact
· Leading the front office operation to deliver refined and seamless guest experiences, from welcome to farewell
· Maintaining exceptional presentation standards across all touchpoints – people, processes, and spaces
· Managing and mentoring a dynamic team, with a focus on staff development and long-term retention
· Coaching team leaders and team members with strong, supportive communication and clear delegation
· Driving performance through regular one-on-ones, service observations, and team briefings
· Collaborating with Housekeeping, Spa, Concierge, F&B and Reservations to coordinate luxury guest journeys
· Handling VIP arrivals, service recovery, and complex requests with poise and discretion
· Monitoring occupancy and maximising revenue through strategic room allocations
· Ensuring systems accuracy, financial compliance, and operational efficiency
· Championing safety and standards in line with the Hospitality Award and Hamilton Island policy
What we're looking for
You're a confident and articulate leader with a sharp eye for detail and genuine care for your team. You understand that great service starts with a motivated and supported team, and you're skilled in coaching, guiding and getting the best out of people.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
· At least 18 months experience in a Front Office leadership role (Essential)
· A QLD open/unrestricted manual driver's licence and RDA, or ability to obtain (Essential)
· Luxury or premium hotel experience (Highly regarded)
· Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent (Desirable)
· Proven ability to retain, develop and support staff
· A proactive delegation style – balancing empowerment with accountability
· Professional presentation and polished interpersonal skills
· Strong communication across all levels – from frontline to executive
· Availability for flexible rosters, including weekends and holidays
