We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our Weipa project. This role is suited to a driven leader with extensive mining and industrial experience, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and oversight to Electrical Supervisors and project teams across multiple sites.
* Manage and coordinate electrical works to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery.
* Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and productivity across projects.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, mine specifications, and company procedures.
* Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring all works are conducted in accordance with WHS legislation and company policies.
* Lead cost control, forecasting, and budget management in collaboration with senior management.
* Review and approve project schedules, procurement strategies, and subcontractor engagement.
* Liaise directly with clients, mine management, and key stakeholders.
* Mentor and develop supervisors and leading hands to build leadership capability within the business.
* Ensure toolbox talks, JSAs, risk assessments, and site safety audits are conducted to a high standard.
Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience in a Superintendent or Senior Electrical Leadership role within the mining industry.
* Strong background in heavy industrial and mining electrical projects.
* Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
* Demonstrated commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
* Strong contract management and procurement experience.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Advanced computer literacy including MS Excel, MS Project, and project reporting systems.
* High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused leadership style.
Requirements:
* Valid NT and/or QLD Electrical Licence
* Current Manual Driver’s Licence (no restrictions)
* G189 & G2 Supervision Certificate
* Current Provide First Aid & CPR/LVR Certificate
* High Risk Licence – WP
* Confined Spaces Certificate (valid within 3 years)
* Working at Heights Certificate (valid within 3 years)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
