Job Description
We are seeking a Health and Safety Partner to join our Service Stream team in Brisbane. This exciting opportunity involves driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001, and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Accreditation.
Responsibilities
* Partner with delivery teams to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with Service Stream HSE requirements.
* Lead by example and model the Service Stream Safety Value and expected safety behaviours.
* Involve others in consultation, communication, and collaboration processes, encouraging people to report and discuss HSE matters and be involved in improvements/solutions.
* Implement Service Stream Group HSE Framework and align project-specific HSE documentation, materials, and resources to comply with the Framework and manage risks and controls.
* Lead event incident investigations and identify learning opportunities and corrective actions.
* Support Injury Management and Return to Work processes.
About You
* Highly Desirable – A candidate with an electrical trade and a genuine interest in a Safety Role.
* Desirable - A candidate who has worked in a safety role in the electrical industry or electrical focused organisation or an Electrical Graduate interested in developing Safety experience/career.
* Experience in a similar HSE leadership role within infrastructure maintenance, construction, civil works, or mining industries.
* Working knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001; and the Office of the federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Accreditation.
* Strong communication skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Programs.
Qualifications Required
* A relevant qualification in WHS/Environment.
* Valid current Australian Full Driver's Licence.
* Return to Work training.
* Desirable – Incident Investigation Qualification.
* Auditing experience well regarded.
