Hanson have an opportunity for a **Laboratory Technician** to join the Team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at the scenic **Bass Point Quarry, NSW**.
The successful applicant will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the construction industry with a full-time technical role within one of Australia's leading construction materials suppliers.
**In your new role, you will**:
- Perform quarry material testing - Aggregate & Soil
- Carry out equipment calibrations
- Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained
- Assist the technical team
**This role is a great fit for you if you have**:
- Excellent Health and Safety behaviours
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal)
- Physically fit
- A current driver's licence
- Available to work weekends and regular overtime
- Professional work ethic
- Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician is highly regarded but not essential
- An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision
- Customer focused and excellent attention to detail
