The Job
* Flexible with working varied hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates.
* Deliver high levels of service to customers through effectively transporting general freight supporting the community.
* Take responsibility for safely and securely loading and unloading a variety of freight with some manual handling of parcel freight.
* Completing daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooks.
* Operate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload general freight.
Qualifications
* Hold a current HR license with proven experience operating a heavy vehicle for a minimum of 2 years.
* A strong level of resilience and ability to problem solve coupled with the capability to work within a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
* Have a passion for going the extra mile to provide high level service to all our customers.
* Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check if required.
