Connecting Australian MSPs with MSP talent Located in Greater Sydney (North Shore)
On-site, 5 days a week
Up to $120k + Super
We are a locally based IT services firm partnering with small to medium businesses across multiple industries. Our team delivers managed services, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity consulting with a strong focus on aligning technology to business outcomes. Known for our client-centric approach, we provide both day-to-day technical delivery and long-term strategic IT planning. Due to ongoing growth, we are now seeking a senior technical consultant who can provide escalation support, strengthen client environments, and contribute to project delivery.
As a System Engineer, you'll take ownership of escalated issues and play a critical role in optimising and securing client IT environments. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and supporting client environments across servers, networking, and Azure cloud
Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), VPNs, and security appliances
Supporting cybersecurity initiatives including Essential Eight compliance (patching, app whitelisting, admin access restrictions)
Hardening Microsoft 365 environments (MFA, Conditional Access, Defender, Intune)
Assisting with vulnerability remediation following pen tests or Nessus scans
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to documentation and process improvements
Engaging directly with clients to deliver both technical solutions and strategic IT input
Proven experience in a senior technical support or consulting role within an MSP
Solid understanding of Azure IaaS and cloud networking
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (config, policy management, troubleshooting)
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 security (MFA, Defender, Conditional Access, Intune)
ITIL v4 certification
Microsoft and Azure certifications
