About the Role
As the
Training Officer
, you will be pivotal in ensuring that all employees, labour hire workers, and drivers across our VIC, TAS, SA, and NT sites are compliant with skills-based training as per the company framework being based at either
Sunshine
or
Somerton
. You will play a key role in developing and delivering the training schedule, ensuring that our operational team is highly skilled and aligned with safety and compliance standards.
This role involves extensive travel across multiple states, and you will have the autonomy to plan your schedule. If you enjoy a dynamic role with a mix of training and travel, this is the position for you

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update training to ensure compliance with national and local regulations and industry trends.
Develop and deliver training for new and existing employees, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and driving standards.
Track and assess training outcomes to ensure competency levels meet the required standards.
Design tailored learning solutions through learning needs analysis, addressing performance gaps to improve business outcomes.
Manage training documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and data integrity.
Conduct competency profile assignments and track employee progress.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster continuous learning and operational improvement.

Skills & Experience
A backgroung in transport or a related industry with experience in driver training.
Cert IV - Training and Assessment qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience delivering training to an operational workforce, ideally with experience in various transport combinations.
Dangerous Goods and/or MC license highly regarded.
Ability to effectively communicate and convey complex information in a simple, accessible manner verbally and in writing.
Demonstrable success in influencing through collaboration and establishing professional and personalised relationships by seeking input, offering feedback and providing continuous support to the business.
Strong reporting skills, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision, especially in a field-based role.
