Remediation crew lead (fortitude valley)

Service Stream's Telecommunications Division is seeking a Remediation Crew Lead to join our team. This is a permanent, full‐time position based in the Greater Brisbane Region, reporting to a Field Supervisor.

Queensland – Fortitude Valley – Kingsgate. Field based in Greater Brisbane Region.

• Lead a two‐person crew in day‐to‐day operations under the NBN Service Excellence contract.
• Perform tasks including digging holes & trenches, rod and rope conduits, hauling of cables and setting up safe working sites in accordance with HSE standards.
• Ensure all field work meets high‐quality standards and complies with relevant HSE policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support to crew members and assist other crews as required.

• A self‐starter with experience in a Field Team Leader role in a diverse and complex environment.
• Light to medium telecommunication civil experience.
• Previous team‐leader experience.
• Relevant field experience in survey, rod & roping, hauling.
• Technical knowledge of FTTP, FTTN, FTTC and HFC.
• Competent in reading and interpreting cable installation plans and using tablet devices.
• Experience in pipe proving / scoping for cable installation.
• Valid driver's licence.

• RIIWHS302D – Implement traffic management plan.
• First Aid & CPR HLTAID011.
• Identify, locate and protect underground services.
• Construct underground telecommunications infrastructure.
• Install underground enclosures and conduit.
• Confined space & gas test.

Field Crew Leaders will be aligned with Service Stream's quality auditing process, ensuring work meets baseline standards suitable for audit by the client.
