Create meaningful connections that strengthen families and communities.

As a Community Engagement Connector, you'll play a vital role in Meli's Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) program by building partnerships, breaking down systemic barriers, and co‑designing community‑led strategies. This is a dynamic role where you'll work with local networks, cultural organisations, and service providers to create sustainable opportunities that empower families and promote inclusion.


About the Role

As a Community Engagement Connector, you will:

* Build strong relationships with community groups, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for families.
* Identify systemic barriers and collaborate on strategies that improve access to services and community supports.
* Facilitate workshops and capacity‑building initiatives to strengthen community engagement.
* Support culturally informed responses, including partnerships with Aboriginal organisations.


Position Details

* Full time, fixed‑term position until 30 June 2026
* 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
* $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

* Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Health Promotion, Psychology, Social Work, or an associated discipline.
* Demonstrated understanding of and experience in identifying systemic barriers for young people and families working towards achieving meaningful community connections.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, including demonstrated experience in community engagement and collaborative partnerships.
* Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops or training sessions to stakeholders and colleagues.
* Current Victorian drivers licence.
