Wellcamp Airport is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Security Screening team. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and visitors, while maintaining compliance with Transport Security Regulations. You'll play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic aviation environment where safety and professionalism are paramount.
Key tasks and responsibilities
* Conduct security screening of passengers, baggage, and airport personnel.
* Identify and resolve security risks in a professional and compliant manner.
* Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication during the screening process.
* Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
* Support emergency procedures and maintain readiness to respond to security-related incidents.
* Ensure security areas are maintained to a high standard at all times.
About you
* Professional presentation and high personal integrity.
* Team‑orientated with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety and service standards.
* Flexibility to work shift rosters including weekends and public holidays.
* Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and obtain ASIC clearance.
* Previous experience in aviation or security (desirable).
* Certificate II in Transport Security protection (desirable).
* Willingness to learn and obtain required on‑the‑job training and certificates.
