At Cowal, our substantial investment has led to a longer mine life as we have boldly reimagined our future to 2040. Located near West Wyalong in central New South Wales, Cowal is a residential site where we encourage our people to live nearby and enjoy the close-knit communities and lifestyles of the surrounding areas.

About the Role
This is a career-defining opportunity for a geologist who wants to be at the centre of resource growth. Reporting to the Superintendent – Discovery, you'll lead near-mine drilling programs that directly shape the future of the underground and open pit operations. You'll be hands-on with geological interpretation, model development, and contractor management, while mentoring a small team and contributing to strategic planning.
This residential role at Cowal offers the chance to work in a high-performing site with a strong future outlook, where your work will be visible, valued, and impactful.
You'll bring:
* A degree in geology or related discipline, plus professional membership (e.g., AusIMM)
* Strong experience in geological modelling, wireframing, and QA/QC practices
* A Hard Rock background and ideally a familiarity with Leapfrog Geo software
* A desire to be hands-on, lead from the front, and make a tangible impact
About You
You're a geologist with a solid mix of exploration and mine geology experience, ideally with time spent in underground operations. You've led teams, managed drill programs, and know how to interpret complex geological data. You're motivated by growth, of the orebody, your team, and your own career, and you're ready to step into a role where your technical expertise drives strategic decisions.
