ACAP's Sydney and Melbourne Campus are home to our in-house Clinics. The Clinics are a non-for-profit enterprise that seeks to offer access to low-cost psychological support services for our community nationwide, as well as providing high-quality learning experiences for our students completing their Psychology, Social Work and Counselling degrees.
To support the opening of our exciting new Melbourne Campus Clinic, **we are seeking a Clinic Manager** to run the day-to-day operations of the clinic, whilst providing students with support and development in their discipline-specific practice.
**The role of Clinic Manager involves**:
- Supervising and building the capacity of students undertaking placement in the Clinics and providing high quality, interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Developing and delivering high quality, culturally responsive services to the community
- Engaging with external agencies in building partnerships to widen participation and broaden community outreach opportunities
- Acting as an effective interface between the clinic and relevant Colleges Chairs of Social Work & Counselling
- Ensuring professional conduct of interns and students in the Clinic, including compliance with relevant policies, procedures, Codes of Ethics and professional expectations
This role enjoys autonomy whilst being part of a collaborative, dedicated team with a shared passion for developing, mentoring, and guiding students on work-based placement throughout their academic journey to become the next generation of Counsellors, Social Workers and Psychologists.
**It is essential that you can demonstrate;**
- Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology or Social Work
- 5 years of professional experience in a relevant practice or professional health management role, preferably in a multidisciplinary context, at both operational and supervisory levels
- Registered or eligible for; Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Strong professional clinical, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
- Advanced skills in providing supervision both for new and emerging practitioners
- Innovation, creativity, proactivity, resilience and a desire to build, lead and develop new opportunities
