Position summary

The Wellbeing Team Leader is responsible for the organization and co-ordination of the overall Residential Aged care monthly activities program which includes joint activities and special events. The Wellbeing Team ensures fluid running of all programs and high-quality delivery for all residents through effective rostering training and coordination. The role includes organizing residential aged care volunteers including training and rostering.
The Wellbeing Team Leader reports to Director of Care – Residential and is responsible for the Residential Wellbeing Team.

Duties

* Oversight of the monthly Lifestyle & Wellbeing program, ensuring alignment with resident needs, organisational goals, and accreditation standards.
* Ensuring wellbeing activities are person-centred, inclusive, and responsive to residents’ expressed interests and life history.
* Providing or coordinating emotional support for residents, staff, and volunteers as required within wellbeing contexts.
* Coordination and governance of all external wellbeing service contractors and visiting activity providers, including scheduling for regular programs and special events.
* Ongoing input into activity design and delivery across all residential areas to ensure variety, engagement, and appropriateness.
* Ensuring all wellbeing programs respect and respond to residents’ cultural, spiritual, and individual preferences.
Qualifications and Experience


Essential

* Hold a Diploma in Leisure and Health or Certificate of Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Community) with relevant Allied Health Units at Tertiary level, specifically Occupational or Diversional Therapy with over 2 years of unit completion.
* Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience organising and coordinating a wellbeing program for elderly individuals in a residential setting.
* Be able to use LeeCare software to record resident wellbeing assessments and reporting on resident progress.
* Willingness to contribute as a team member to the creation and maintenance of a friendly and warm living environment for all residents.
* Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate with at least 1 month remaining until expiry.

Desirable

* Understand the migrant experience, with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of the elderly from different cultural backgrounds
* Language(s) other than English will be highly regarded
* Use of Volunteer system, “Better Impact”
* Hold a current Victorian driver’s license
